Rockfall Protection Netting

Gabions are rectangular units fabricated from a soft annealed zinc

coated wire mesh.



These units are filled with stone and become large, flexible, permeable

elements from which a broad range of structures can be built e.g.

retaining walls, river bank protection, weirs.



Along with mattresses, gabions can be used for earth retention structures;

river flow management, rock face stabilization, and many other uses.
